The agri-food economics conferences organized by the Spanish Association of Agri-food Economics (AEEA) are an academic and scientific benchmark for discussing issues in agri-food economics and natural resources in their broadest sense.

The upcoming XV Congress of Agri-food Economics of the AEEA will also mark the I Congress of the Ibero-American Network of Agri-food and Natural Resources Economics (RIEARN). It will be held in Granada at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Granada on September 3, 4, and 5, 2025, under the theme “Providing Solutions in Times of Change through Agri-food and Environmental Economics.”

This theme reflects the need for applied science that can effectively address the major challenges faced by the agricultural and food sector. All of this takes place within a context of uncertainty due to rapid technological and geopolitical changes, which impact individual behavior and threaten the sustainability of the sector and, consequently, of society as a whole.

The congress will be organized by:

  • University of Granada (UGR)
  • Andalusian Institute for Agricultural, Fisheries, Food, and Organic Production Research and Training (IFAPA)
